For most of you it’s been maybe 10 years, I imagine really most of the Anime fandom at this point is younger than me and I have Seniority in being into it.

It’s been nearly 20 years, I came in RIGHT As the community was transitioning from VHS to DVD to DVD Rips on the Internet.

my Previous experience with the community was Providing ISOs to #animeexplosion on IRC

we went through several IRC server changes from Critten to eventually Rizon.

I was there back in the day, I remember acutely downloading Kimi Ga Nozumu Eien as it was airing one episode a week.

Most of you have Either Never Heard of that Master piece of a show or are too faint of heart for it.

It’s a tearjerker I’d only recommend if you like to cry.

anime has really caught fire since I started watching...

There’s a whole vernacular that Dudebros use  and is part of their culture but one charactistic of dude bro language is the deep belief that Brevity is wit.

so instead of “inspired by.” they’ll use “Based on.”

and so forth and  I am not part of that culture One culture I WAS part of was the anime community whether it wanted me to be or not.

and in many respects when it comes to the question of “Why do you feel like you’re a girl?” it’s this scene that has a lot to do with it.

After going through the Rumbling Hearts tag, I was shocked by how many actually loath Mitsuki and have a huge dislike for her character. Everyone has been complaining about how she took her best friends guy and even complain about her visiting Haruka when she had woken up in the hospital.
