This is from a group who thinks even MRAs aren’t anti-women enough:
I have talked a lot about the paleo diet because the so called manosphere is obsessed with it. What is the paleo diet about at its core? It’s about meat, being rabidly pro-meat. That’s why the paleo diet always goes hand in hand with conspiracy theories about an anti-meat conspiracy to trick men into vegetarianism and feminize men.
It isn’t surprising that someone who is anti-feminist has a fear of men being “feminized”. That’s femmephobia/effemiphobia for you. The belief that a man being “like a woman” is “lowing” himself. That’s also transphobic and cissexist as hell. Also, by heavily embracing meat the way they do – they are, in fact, reinforcing the idea that “meat is for men”.
Who else is obsessed with meat? Feminists. While the so called manosphere is rabidly pro-meat, feminists are rabidly anti-meat. I found a good example of this at the No Man Project where a magina actually says that men eating meat is connected to the oppression and abuse of women. Of course, the mangina produces no evidence for this supposed connection (just as the so called manosphere produces no evidence of anti-meat conspiracies).
If there is any word that is more misogynistic, transphobic, and effemiphobic than “mangina” – then I don’t know what it would be. It’s the term that MRAs and other anti-feminists use to describe cismen that they feel are too pro-feminist (or pro-women, at least).
BTW, I’ll be discussing the linked article in another post.
So, apparently, there are men who believe that there is a “feminist conspiracy” that is “tricking” men into becoming vegetarians. That is effemiphobia at it’s finest! I dare them to tell these men who choose to not eat meat that they’ve been “brainwashed” by the “feminist conspiracy”.
In fact, vegetarian/vegan men are just as capable of being misogynistic as meat-eating men are. As such, if these are men that do abstain from meat for “ethical reasons” – then they are, in essence, sending across the message that they value non-human animals over women. So, in short: veg*n =/= pro-women.
This raises the question of how these anti-feminist men who believe in the “feminist conspiracy” would regard women who embrace meat to just as much they extent as they do. Would they actually embrace these women, considering that obviously are not part of the “feminist conspiracy”? Or would they, perhaps, believe that these women comprise another component of the “feminist conspiracy”? That they’re actually trying to “steal” meat away from men? That they are trying to “appropriate” something that “belongs to men”?
